The first step to remove the alternator from the 2AZ-FE charging system requires disconnecting the negative battery cable. First detach the front wheel from the right-hand side then separate the front fender apron seal from the same side. The first step requires removal of the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly and afterward the engine moving control rod with bracket. Next follow through with removal of the No. 2 engine mounting stay together with No. 2 engine mounting bracket from the right-hand side. Detach the fan together with the generator V belt first. Place the clamp onto the generator while connecting the generator connector to its terminal. The next step includes the installation of two parts: the fan and generator V belt in addition to the No. 2 engine mounting bracket RH and the No. 2 engine mounting stay RH followed by the engine moving control rod with bracket. Proceed with the installation of the front wheel to the right-hand side then connect the cable to the negative battery terminal before conducting the initialization process.
