Toyota Lift Support allows a driver to lift and keep a hood, trunk, hatch up and at the same time avoid the drops. This gas strut is a reservoir of energy stored as pressurized nitrogen which is then released in a controlled manner to have a panel which can move in a controlled manner. Since 1937, Toyota has won the trust of the world by producing long-lasting automobiles using lean production systems that reduced wastages and facilitated rapid repair on the assembly line. Toyota has been known in recent years to produce the TNGA platform that focuses on handling, an improved Hybrid Synergy Drive that improves electric cruising and the 2024 Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid that can travel 42 miles without consuming any more fuel. The next thing is to prop the hood or hatch first, and to find the worn out Lift Support and keep in mind which end is at the top. Using a small flat object, push it under each of the retaining clips, detach the sockets of the ball studs, and remove the old one. Adjust the new Lift Support to the same length, grease the studs slightly, as well as attach the sockets of the rod, keeping the same direction downwards so that fluid is close to the seal. Close the clips, pull out the prop and cycle the panel a few times to test the Lift Support is providing a smooth steady motion and that the new part is in readiness to be applied in the daily routine.
