The installation process for the rear spoiler begins by removing the rear
Wiper Motor assembly (for Glass Hatch Type) followed by correct wiping angle installation using the centering jig. The installation of the rear spoiler sub-assembly requires waiting until both the glass hatch and back door remain closed until the rear wiper link pivot has been fitted. A sub-assembly without press line installation requires the center stop light assembly and rear washer nozzle to be secured using screw fasteners through the nozzle bracket while engaging the claws. A rear spoiler with a press line should receive the same fitting procedure as for the center stop light assembly and rear washer nozzle. Lift and lower the glass hatch and back door followed by passing the wire harness into the vehicle then temporarily secure the rear spoiler sub-assembly by engaging the 2 claws with installation of 8 screws. Use a "TORX" socket wrench (T30) to securely tighten screws according to specifications where fixing the 6 screws (B) with 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf) torque and tightening the 2 screws (A) to 6.5 Nm (66 kgf-cm, 58 in-lbf). Secure the wire harness by connecting the connector, inserting the grommet, attaching the rear washer hose, finishing the 2 connectors, placing the wire harness grommet then fix it with the 4 claws. Finally, install the back door glass guide bracket sub-assembly for Fixed Glass Type followed by the rear wiper motor assembly for Fixed Glass Type as well as Glass Hatch Type. Prep the necessary installation hardware which comprises of the rear wiper motor grommet (Fixed Glass Type) alongside the rear wiper link pivot (Glass Hatch Type) and the rear wiper link cap (Glass Hatch Type) as well as the rear wiper arm and blade assembly (Fixed Glass Type and Glass Hatch Type). Furthermore, install the rear wiper arm head cap followed by the rear wiper shaft cover (for Glass Hatch Type) prior to attaching the back door trim panel assembly and assist strap assembly with assist strap hole cover and back door lock cover (for Glass Hatch Type) and back door trim cover LH (with and without Power Back Door) before connecting the power back door rod (with Power Back Door) then install the back door service hole cover LH (with Power Back Door), back door trim cover RH, back window upper trim panel assembly and inspect the rear washer nozzle.
