Spoiler Assembly, White, Rear

Follow these precautions before removing the rear spoiler because the changing axis of the rear wiper motor assembly (for Glass Hatch Type) affects wiping angle; reinstall with the centering jig. Commence by removing the back window upper trim panel assembly after which you must disconnect the back door trim cover LH in case of vehicles without Power Back Door or the back door service hole cover LH for vehicles with Power Back Door followed by a power back door rod disconnection when necessary. Proceed by removing the back door trim cover on the right side followed by the back door lock cover (for Glass Hatch Type), assist strap hole cover as well as the assist strap assembly and back door trim panel assembly. The service requires removal of the rear wiper shaft cover (for Glass Hatch Type), rear wiper arm head cap, rear wiper arm and blade assembly, rear wiper link cap (for Glass Hatch Type), rear wiper motor grommet (for Fixed Glass Type), and finally the rear wiper link pivot (for Glass Hatch Type). Overall you must separate the rear wiper motor assembly (for both Fixed Glass Type and Glass Hatch Type). The procedure for removing the rear spoiler sub-assembly continues with wire harness disconnection followed by clam guard retention of the wire harness to prevent it from snagging and rotating the clam guard grommet and disconnecting the four claws while extracting the wire harness and removing the two connectors and the rear washer hose. After releasing the grommet and separating the connector, proceed with removing the back door glass guide bracket sub-assembly for Fixed Glass Type models followed by removing the rear spoiler sub-assembly. A "TORX" socket wrench (T30) works to remove the 2 screws (A) and six screws (B). This action then enables the release of the 2 claws and permits glass hatch and back door movement to extract the wire harness and remove the rear spoiler sub-assembly. To work on the rear washer nozzle of a Rear Spoiler without Press Line you must first remove the screw combined with its bracket and rear washer nozzle then separate the claws from the assembly and finally remove the washer nozzle from its position. The procedure demands removal of center stop light assembly (for Rear Spoiler without Press Line) while following specific instructions regarding the removal method together with the procedure for removing rear washer nozzle and center stop light assembly (for Rear Spoiler with Press Line) by removing its screw with bracket and disengaging claws before component removal.

Follow the appropriate removal procedure for the center stop light assembly (for Rear Spoiler without Press Line) and repeat the process for the rear washer nozzle and center stop light assembly (for Rear Spoiler with Press Line).

Ensure the rear wiper motor assembly (for Glass Hatch Type) is removed and installed using the centering jig to maintain the correct wiping angle.
