The Toyota Fuel Tank Lock Ring ensures the fuel pump module is well sealed. The brand is known to be a combination of reliability, efficiency and intelligent design. Lean production, which reduces waste and makes it easy to fix a problem quickly, has earned Toyota respect globally since 1937, and the recent TNGA platform offers sharper handling and more crash protection. The Hybrid Synergy Drive is now upgraded and the 2024 RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid demonstrates how Toyota is willing to push the boundaries of cleaner performance, and Toyota continues to value durability, providing a piece of hardware that its customers can count on over a long period of time. A Fuel Tank Lock Ring is a metal or reinforced polymer ring that is rugged, which clamps the pump and sender to the tank opening, compresses the gasket and prevents leaks of fuel or vapours. To install a Fuel Tank Lock Ring, it is important to park somewhere ventilated, in a spark-free place, de-attach the battery, and release the fuel pressure. Place a jack under the tank to support it, but get it up only to reach the pump flange, and then wipe down the dirt to prevent the falling of grit into the tank. Change to a new O-ring seal, fit the tabs of the module into the slots of the tank, and press the gasket flat. Install the new Fuel Tank Lock Ring on the threads, position a locking tool or drift to clockwise and keep turning it until the marks fit. Reconnect hose and wire, lift and fix the tank, reconnect battery, press the key and cycle the system to start up, and ensure there are no leaks before driving your Toyota once again.
