You must remove the air refiner filter after letting go of 2 claws and taking out the filter casing before substituting the old filter with a new one. How to service the air filter element on Toyota Tundra?

Start the air filter service by first removing the V-bank cover and secondly the No. 2 air cleaner hose after loosening the clamp and unfastening the 2 bolts from it. The air cleaner case sub-assembly removal process includes detaching the No. 2 ventilation hose and its clamp followed by vacuum hose separation then connector release for the MAF meter and clip removal of two wire harness clamps. The next steps include loosening the hose clamp and extracting the 2 bolts to complete the air filter installation. Start by removing the purge line hose followed by detachment of the three hose clamps. The start of the installation process should be the purge line hose which requires 3 hose clamps attachment before installing the hose. First install the air cleaner case sub-assembly with 2 bolts before tightening the hose clamp to reach a protrusion height below 0.5 mm (0.0197 in.) while attaching the 2 wire harness clamps and connecting the MAF meter connector and vacuum hose and hose clamp and No. 2 ventilation hose. The installation process begins with placing the air cleaner before moving to install the air cleaner cap sub-assembly and finishing with the installation of the No. 2 air cleaner hose with the 2 bolts torqued to 7.5 N.m (76 kgf. cm, 66 in.lbf) and then the hose clamp torqued to 4.0 N.m (41 kgf. cm, 35 in.lbf) until the clamp bands reach both limit marks. The installation process ends with V-bank cover attachment.
