The Toyota Crankshaft Gear is an important component as it keeps the crank and the cam in the ideal timing of engine timing. Crankshaft Gear is a small toothed wheel fitted to the crankshaft and it transfers the rotation to the timing set and makes sure that the valves open at the right moment. In the absence of the Crankshaft Gear, the combustion would be unpredictable and the power would be reduced. An installation of a Toyota Crankshaft Gear requires preliminary steps of disconnection of battery, drainage of coolant, taking off of belts, pulley and timing cover followed by inspection of the keyway and cleaning up of the gear bore and crank snout. Position timing marks at top dead center, position or roll the warmed gear into the keyed shaft and make sure it fits firmly in place and apply new lubricant. Install the retaining bolt, and tighten it as per the suggested torque without moving the crank, re-install chain or belt, cover, seals and components and turn the engine by hand two whole rotations, ensuring that it moves smoothly before refilling fluids and starting.
