Scion Hood protects the engine bay against the weather and road debris and also provides easy access to the powertrain to the owners. Scion came into the picture at the year 2003 with small automobiles sold to young people who longed at unusual colors, straightforward prices and fresh cybernetic experiences such as the Virtual Scion City. The Hood itself is a mix of lightweight construction with the lines that enhance the aerodynamic and sleek appearance of any model. Installation of new Scion Hood can be easily done by following some steps in an organized manner. Place the front end on stands, then loosen the hinge bolts of the cowl side so that they can swing. Use a friend to up-lift the panel and insert the hinges into position threading the fasteners to a sufficient amount to support weight. Fit gap between fenders and grille, tighten the bolts and fit the latch, striker, and prop rod or gas struts. Install: close the panel and make sure that the Hood fits correctly, line the hinge up so that it sits flat, screw in all the hardware, reattach all washer hose ducts, and ensure that the Hood is able to open and close.
