The Scion Fuel Pump Gasket prevents the leak of fuel and maintains the pressure that your engine requires. Scion vehicles were distinct in their bold color choices, small size and no-haggle prices that allowed young drivers to personalize rides without having to worry. Since its opening in 2003, Scion caught the eye of the world with Virtual Scion City and Release Series which made each car to be a collectible. The Fuel Pump Gasket is the thin sealing ring between the pump and the mounting surface that maintains the pressure constant and the fumes enclosed and an old Fuel Pump Gasket is one of the reasons why there is a raw gas smell. In order to change it, one should disconnect the battery, open the fuel cap, and the seat or trunk panel to access the pump. Wipe off the dirt, screw the bolts out, push the pump out and peel off the old gasket. Cleanse the two surfaces and insert the new Fuel Pump Gasket at the same point, and tighten the bolts in a cross-cross manner. Reconnect, re-energize, prime, and start the engine, and inspect drips.
