2010 Toyota Yaris Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to remove the front lower Control Arm for the right-hand side on 2010 Toyota Yaris?
A: Starting the right-hand side front lower suspension arm removal process requires disconnecting the negative battery cable and removing both the hood sub-assembly. The worker should first remove the front wiper arm head cap before eliminating the front wiper arm and blade assemblies on both the left-hand side together with right-hand side. Hatchback owners must remove the hood to cowl top seal and sedan owners must take away the cowl side ventilator sub-assembly units on both the left and right sides. Remove the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly followed by both the front wiper motor and link from the list. The process for hatchbacks requires removal of the cowl to register duct sub-assembly while sedans need the removal of the front air shutter seal. The outer cowl top panel must be removed while keeping wheels oriented forward. Then disassemble the front wheel. Start the process by taking off the column hole cover silencer sheet and then proceed to remove the steering sliding yoke sub-assembly and the steering column hole cover sub-assembly. Perform separation of both front stabilizer link assemblies before proceeding with both tie rod end sub-assemblies separation. Both left and right front lower suspension arms must be separated before suspending the engine assembly while removing the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly to remove the right-hand side front lower suspension arm with its bolt and lower arm exposed.
