2009 Toyota Yaris Control Arm Parts Q&A
Q: How to remove the front lower Control Arm for the right-hand side on 2009 Toyota Yaris?
A: The removal process for the right-hand side front lower suspension arm begins by disconnecting the negative battery terminal cable and then removing the hood sub-assembly. Both left-hand and right-hand front wiper assemblies need removal after their corresponding head caps and wiper arm pieces. Hatchback front owners should start by taking off the hood to cowl top seal and sedan drivers need to take both cowl side ventilator sub-assemblies aside from the left and right sides. The next step involves removing the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly and the front wiper motor along with its link. The first step requires separation of the cowl to register duct sub-assembly for hatchbacks yet this step does not apply to sedans since they need front air shutter seal removal. Next detach the outer cowl top panel while keeping the wheels facing forward and remove the front wheel. To achieve the removal process begin by taking out the column hole cover silencer sheet followed by the steering sliding yoke sub-assembly and then the steering column hole cover sub-assembly. First divide the tie rod end sub-assemblies of both left and right sides from each other along with the front lower suspension arm sub-assemblies for both sides. Secondly you must disconnect both left and right front stabilizer link assemblies. The engine must be suspended and everyone should detach the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly before the front lower suspension arm RH can be removed by removing its bolt and lower arm.
