2008 Toyota Yaris Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to remove the front lower Control Arm on the right-hand side on 2008 Toyota Yaris?
A: Disassembling the right-hand front lower suspension arm requires users to begin by disconnecting the negative battery cable then removing both the hood sub-assembly. The first step involves eliminating the front wiper arm head cap before separate removal of front wiper arm assemblies together with blades from left and right sides. The operation starts by removing the hood to cowl top seal from hatchback vehicles yet sedans need both their left and right cowl side ventilator sub-assemblies removed. Move on to uninstall the front wiper motor and link in combination with the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly. The cowl to register duct sub-assembly should be removed for hatchbacks whereas sedans need their front air shutter seal removed. Place the wheels straight ahead and remove the front wheel before you take out the outer cowl top panel. The next steps require removal of the silencer sheet from the column hole cover and subsequent removal of steering sliding yoke and steering column hole cover sub-assemblies. First remove the tie rod end sub-assemblies from both left and right sides as part of the procedure. Afterwards the front lower suspension arms and front stabilizer link assemblies on both sides need to be separated. The front suspension crossmember sub-assembly must be suspended first followed by removing the front lower suspension arm on the right-hand side through the removal of the bolt connected to the lower arm.
