A: When installing the heated oxygen sensor for 1NZ-FE emission control you must use Special Service Tool: 09224-00010 to secure the sensor on the front exhaust pipe while applying 44 Nm (449 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf) torque when toolless and 40 Nm (408 kgf-cm, 30 ft-lbf) when using it with a torque wrench set to 300 mm (11.81 in.) fulcrum length After routing the sensor connector through the floor panel installation space, place the grommet and connect the sensor connector. Install the instrument pad lower LH of the sedan followed by the rear console box assembly and console box carpet and console box rear cover which apply to the hatchback model. The sedans need an installation of the upper console panel sub-assembly while hatchbacks with manual transaxles require both shifting hole cover sub-assembly and console upper rear panel sub-assembly. Complete the installation with the manual transaxle shift lever knob sub-assembly followed by the instrument panel finish panel end LH for the sedan as well as the instrument panel finish panel lower center for the sedan.
