How to replace a Fuel Level Sensor on 2009 Toyota Venza?

The first step to remove the fuel level sensor is discharging fuel system pressure. The negative cable requires its own removal after which the system may need initialization when placing it back. You must take out the fuel suction tube assembly with its pump and gauge unit. First disconnect the fuel level sensor connector from the fuel suction plate then press down the claw marked A on the fuel level sensor before sliding it up away from the plate while avoiding contact with the resistance plate and contact area. First disconnect the fuel level sensor connector through the rear No. 2 floor service hole opening. Finish the installation by removing the 6 bolts which secure the fuel level sensor assembly to the fuel tank but stay away from the fuel level sensor arm when doing so.
