2009 Toyota Venza Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to install the ABS Control Module on 2009 Toyota Venza?
A: Two nuts should be attached to join the brake actuator assembly with the brake actuator bracket assembly and achieve a torque rating of 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf). New brake actuators should never have their hole plugs removed before 6 brake line connection since they contain brake fluid and should be placed on the ground with the pin installed rather than being handled by the connector. The brake actuator requires installation with its bracket to the body using a nut together with 2 bolts according to a torque standard of 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf). The installer should check for brake line and wire harness damage in addition to following the tightening sequence from 1 to 3. Securely attach the brake actuator connector until it locks while checking for any entry of water and oil and dirt. Before final tightening use union nut wrenches to fasten the brake lines on the brake actuator bracket with the specified torque of 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf) for Flare nut A (10 mm) and 20 Nm (199 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf) for Flare Nut B (12 mm). The clamp from the suction hose sub-assembly should be installed onto the brake actuator bracket assembly. Install the complete radiator reserve tank assembly together with its appropriate cap. Start by filling brake fluid into the reservoir after which you must bleed the brake master cylinder followed by bleeding the brake line. Check both the fluid level inside the reservoir and look for evidence of brake fluid leakage on the car. Attach the cable to the negative battery terminal but initialization procedures might be required for certain systems after the connection. Run an engine variant learning process while using Techstream to inspect the brake actuator.
