The procedure requires installation of the rear wiper motor grommet. Cleaning the wiper arm pattern with a round file or equivalent and the wiper pivot pattern with a wire brush must occur prior to stopping the wiper motor at its automatic stop position when installing the rear wiper arm and blade assembly. Tighten the nut where it connects the arm to the blade so the components face their designated position and use a torque of 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf). Approval exists to control the arm joint with your hand while tightening the nut and then confirm the blade sits correctly near the ceramic reference point. Afterward, install the cap. The next step involves installing the back door trim board assembly, then the back door side garnish on the right side, left side and center. Before finishing the procedure connect the negative battery terminal cable.
