Wiper Motor, Rear

Service of the rear wiper motor requires disconnecting and waiting at least 90 seconds for the negative battery terminal cable before Air Bag and seat belt pretensioner activation occurs. Initialize the service by uninstalling the back door center garnish and back door side garnish LH, back door side garnish RH and back door trim board. Widening each end of the cap to 5 mm allows safe lifting of widened ends for rotation of the cap followed by removing the arm and blade assembly together with its nut. Detach the connector while taking out the 3 bolts to fully remove the rear wiper motor grommet along with the motor assembly. Installation of the rear wiper motor assembly requires bolting it with 3 bolts which need 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf) torque along with connector reconnection. Once the wiper motor reaches automatic stop the rear wiper arm blade assembly installation starts with wiper arm and serration cleaning before tightening the nut to proper ceramic line alignment and 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf). To complete the installation sequence you should place the cap on the vehicle then assemble the trim board, attach the garnish on the right and left sides of the door and center garnish before reattaching the negative battery cable.

Remove the respective nuts on both the left and right sides.

Remove the nut to take off the left front wiper arm and blade assembly, then repeat the process for the right side.

Take out 2 bolts, move the wiper cushion as indicated, and disconnect the connector while detaching the clamp.

Afterward, install the cap.
