How to remove and replace the rear coil springs on the LH side on 2009 Toyota RAV4?

The rear wheel removal process serves as the initial step when replacing the rear coil spring on the LH side. Before working on 2WD models users must disconnect the skid control sensor wire. When working on 4WD models always disconnect the rear speed sensor located on the LH side. The service begins with separation of the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly followed by the rear stabilizer link assembly LH. The process of disconnecting the rear suspension No. 2 arm sub-assembly LH requires the suspension member bolt stay in place while supporter rises the arm with a jack using wooden or rubber blocks before safely taking out the bolt and nut from the axle carrier side. Remove first the rear coil spring insulator upper LH from the coil spring before proceeding to extract the rear coil spring LH from the suspension No. 2 arm then remove the rear coil spring insulator lower LH from the suspension No. 2 arm.
