    A: You should start by disconnecting the negative battery cable for 90 seconds to avoid Air Bag and seat belt pretensioner trigger while removing the Clock Spring Assembly / Clock Spring. Before beginning move the front steering pad assembly while aiming both wheels in direct front direction. Start by setting the wheel assembly to the side and moving on to extract the lower column steering shield. The operator must raise the upper steering column cover being careful to avoid any harm to the Air Bag wire harness during Air Bag connector handling. Detach the 3 claws to remove the clock spring sub-assembly after separating the upper column cover through removal of its 4 clips.
