The installation of the Center Air Bag Sensor Assembly starts with careful study of precautionary SRS Air Bag system notices. Start the installation with the Air Bag sensor through three bolts reaching 17.5 Nm (179 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf) torque value. The Air Bag sensor needs replacement with a new one when it reveals drops or demonstrates any case bracket or connector damage such as cracks or dents or when it shows defects in the case or bracket. The SRS wiring system must have sufficient space during installation so no wires will be trapped by any component. Connect the Air Bag sensor connectors as a next step. You must first install the Rear Console Box Assembly followed by the No. 1 Instrument Panel Bracket Cover Inner LH and RH with the Console Rear End Panel then the Upper Rear Console Panel Sub-Assembly followed by Console Cup Holder Box and Switch Base before finishing with the Upper Console Panel Sub-Assembly, No. 2 Console Upper Panel Garnish and No. 1 Console Upper Panel Garnish. After fitting all components you must attach the cable to the negative battery terminal before verifying that the SRS warning light operates correctly.
