How to install the Hood Cable Assembly on 2009 Toyota Land Cruiser?

The Hood Cable installation process begins by passing the cable through the grommet from the rear engine room entry point until the cable stopper attachment. You should now guide the front end of the cable inside the upper radiator support before attaching the clamps according to the provided illustrations. The installation begins when you connect the hood cable followed by hooking the claws to put in the Hood Lock Control Lever Sub-Assembly. Mount the Front Fender Main Seal LH by using three clips for its securement. Installation of Hood Lock Assembly requires MP grease application on sliding parts and hood cable connection followed by the installation of 2 bolts with a nut to 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf) torque before connector connection. Fasten the new hood lock nut cap before connecting the claw tool to install the Hood Cable Cover while securing it with 3 screws. Mount the Radiator Grille along with the Upper Radiator Support Seal in the last step.
