2009 Toyota Land Cruiser Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove the Hood Cable Assembly on 2009 Toyota Land Cruiser?
A: Start the Hood Cable Assembly removal process by taking out the upper radiator support seal. Fit a tape cover onto the screwdriver tip before loosening the three clips on the front fender main seal LH. You should remove the radiator grille assembly. The hood cable cover requires removal by first unscrewing its 3 screws and secondly detaching the claw. A screwdriver taped at the tip will be used to remove the hood lock nut cap. The removal process requires first disassembling the hood lock assembly by removing two bolts and a nut along with disconnecting the connector and the hood cable. Unscrew the pair of 2 claws until you can take out the hood lock control lever sub-assembly and disconnect the control cable. The removal ends by using a screwdriver to disconnect three clamps while taping the screwdriver tip before pulling the cable out from the engine room.
