A: Begin by following the identical procedures for both the LH and RH sides during removal and replacement of the rear axle shaft assembly using the following instructions on the LH side. Start by dismantling the stabilizer control valve protector after which you should operate the stabilizer control through the accumulator housing shutter valve. Open the negative battery cable terminal then detach and remove the left rear wheel. Use Special Service Tool: 09308-00010 to detach the brake tube from the flexible hose while maintaining grasp on it with a wrench to avoid tubing deformation. Also avoid permitting foreign elements into the system. Detach the clip before removing 2 bolts from the rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH while avoiding flexible hose deformation. After the rear disc LH is removed proceed by removing the parking brake shoe return tension spring LH subsequent to which you should take off the No. 1 parking brake shoe assembly LH followed by the No. 2 parking brake shoe assembly LH and then the parking brake shoe lever sub-assembly LH. The service technician disconnects the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly before moving on to remove the rear speed sensor LH.
