Before installing the 1NZ-FE engine control system engine coolant temperature sensor the technician should place a new sensor gasket on before attaching it provisionally. Apply torque on the sensor by using Special Service Tool: 09817-33190 to a value of 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf). You should now plug the engine coolant temperature sensor connector. The negative battery terminal requires cable connection with a force of 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm 48 in-lbf). Complete the process by adding engine coolant before verifying for all coolant leakages.
