The first step is to detach the air pump assembly through the removal of 2 bolts and unfastening the washer jar to gain access for removing the air pump assembly. The technician must disconnect the air injection system No. 1 hose before disconnecting the air pump connector together with its wire harness clamp. The removal process starts by removing three bolts that detach the air pump with its bracket and disconnecting the air pump connector clamp. To finish the process remove the air pump from the bracket by pulling out its 3 insulator fittings.
