    Q:
How to remove the Air Injection Pump on Toyota Tacoma? Posted by Customer
    A:
The starting point to remove the Air Injection Pump involves disconnecting the negative battery terminal cable. The procedure starts with removing the air pump assembly after displacing the washer jar while extracting its 2 bolts to free up space for air pump assembly dismantlement. First disconnect the air injection system No. 1 hose before removing the air pump connector along with its wire harness clamp. Start by disconnecting the battery cable and remove the 3 bolts to extract the air pump assembly with bracket along with the disconnecting of the air pump connector clamp. Discharge the air pump from the bracket by disengaging the three fittings of its insulator.

    Q:
How to service and repair the Air Injection Pump on Toyota Tacoma? Posted by Customer
    A:
Service and repair of the Air Injection Pump begins with disconnecting the negative battery terminal cable. Disassemble the washer jar by removing its 2 bolts to expose the area where you will remove the air pump assembly. First disconnect the air injection system No. 1 hose together with the air pump connector and the wire harness clamp. Unscrew the bracket-mounted 3 bolts to extract the air pump assembly which must be followed by disconnecting the connector clamp of the air pump and releasing the 3 insulator fittings to completely remove the component from the bracket. Put on the 3 fittings of the air pump insulator before installing the air pump onto the bracket. Secure the air pump connector clamp and then fasten the air pump with bracket by tightening 3 bolts to 18 N.m (184 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf). Start by attaching the air pump connector while installing the wire harness clamp until the injection system No. 1 hose can be connected. Attach the washer jar with its 2 bolts tightened at 6 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf) while connecting the cable to the negative battery terminal with 3.9 N.m (40 kgf.cm, 35 in.lbf) torque.
