You should start the installation of 2UZ-FE oil cooler assembly by cleaning the contact surface of the cooler mounting on the oil cooler. Before O-ring installation into the oil cooler you should apply a small amount of engine oil to the new part. The installation of the oil cooler begins with applying engine oil to both the union bolt threads and head before mounting the cooler along with a plate washer and union bolt while delivering a torque of 69 Nm (704 kgf-cm, 51 ft-lbf). Place the fork part of the oil cooler onto the rib of the oil cooler bracket before connecting its two hoses to the oil cooler. The following procedure includes installing the oil filter assembly together with engine coolant addition and engine oil addition. Inspection for leaks involving oil and coolant must be followed by monitoring engine oil level before the installation of the No. 1 engine under the cover completes the process.
