2008 Toyota Prius Vapor Pressure Sensor Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to remove the Vapor Pressure Sensor on 2008 Toyota Prius?
A: Starting the Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor removal process requires removing the rear No. 2 floor board then the rear deck floor box along with the rear No. 3 floor board. Turn off the negative cable from the battery before waiting for at least 90 seconds to avoid activation of Air Bags and seat belt pretensioners. The work requires elimination of both the lower center instrument panel finish panel and the rear seat cushion assembly . The procedure starts with removing the rear floor service hole cover together with the front floor panel brace and front exhaust pipe. You should proceed to remove the fuel tank sub-assembly. Remove the fuel tank pressure sensor from the fuel tank retainer after disconnecting its connector while also removing the tube joint clip and clearing away dirt objects before proceeding since the O-ring on the sensor needs to seal the plug. Manual labor only is acceptable for this task because tools must not be used.
