2008 Toyota Prius Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove the ignition coil assembly on 2008 Toyota Prius?
A: The procedure to remove ignition coil assembly of 1NZ-FXE starts by removing the rear No. 2 floor board then the rear deck floor box and ending with the rear No. 3 floor board. Disconnection of the negative battery cable must follow a minimum 90-second interval before you proceed to detach it from the terminal to evade Air Bag and seat belt pretensioner activation. The engine room No. 2 relay block needs disconnection after the bolts are removed first to take out the relay block. Completion of the coil installation requires removing 4 ignition coil connectors before unscrewing the corresponding 4 bolts to finally extract all 4 coils.
