2008 Toyota Highlander Washer Pump Parts Q&A
Q: How to troubleshoot a Washer Pump on 2008 Toyota Highlander?
A: One needs to start by taking off the engine under cover assembly followed by the No. 1 engine under cover to access the windshield washer motor. You must eliminate the cool air intake duct seal together with the radiator grille. The first step requires front bumper assembly removal either with or without fog light installation but only when applicable. Begin the removal process by disconnecting the front fender moulding sub-assembly from the right-hand side and then proceed with removal of the front fender liner on the right-hand side. The washer fluid needs draining after disconnecting the washer hose from the front washer motor and pump assembly. To finish the operation disconnect the connector then remove both the front washer motor and pump assembly.
