2008 Toyota Highlander Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to install the fuel pressure regulator assembly on 2008 Toyota Highlander?
A: One must apply spindle oil or gasoline to a new O-ring before installing it onto the assembly for fuel pressure pulsation damper installation. Install the fuel pressure pulsation damper assembly onto the delivery pipe through the use of the provided clip for attachment. First install the No. 1 surge tank stay while facing the throttle body bracket and putting on the intake air surge tank assembly. Tighten the No. 1 surge tank stay along with the throttle body bracket to their completely tightened positions. Fasten the air cleaner cap sub-assembly to the vehicle before connecting the battery cable to the terminal which is located on the negative side. The mechanic should inspect both the SRS warning light and search for fuel leaks. Engine coolant needs addition while checking for any leaking coolant. The V-bank cover must be installed before moving on to the outer cowl top panel sub-assembly followed by windshield wiper motor and link assembly and cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly and both left and right front wiper arm and blade assemblies. The procedure ends by fitting both the No. 1 engine under cover and the engine under cover assembly to their respective locations.
