  A: Installation of the 2GR-FE engine fuel injector assembly starts with light spindle oil or gasoline application to new O-rings followed by their proper placement onto each injector with zero foreign body attachment to the O-ring ditch. Follow this step by applying spindle oil or gasoline to the O-ring contact area of the fuel delivery pipe. After that, install the fuel injector by pushing and twisting it into its designated position which faces outward. The O-ring must not experience twisting during installation but if resistance occurs when inserting the injector then use a fresh O-ring for reinstallment. The installation of the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly should be followed by connecting the fuel tube sub-assembly and temporary attachment of the No. 1 surge tank stay along with throttle body bracket before installing the intake air surge tank assembly. The installation process requires complete tightening of the No. 1 surge tank stay along with the throttle body bracket while connecting the engine room main wire and installing the air cleaner cap sub-assembly. Proceed to the inspection of SRS warning lighting and fuel leakage testing after connecting the battery cable to the negative terminal.
