- Q: How to install the windshield wiper motor assembly and related components on 2008 Toyota Camry?A: Assemble the windshield wiper motor by applying 3 bolts that require 5.4 Nm of torque before moving the crank arm to the specified position and applying MP grease to the pivot. Attach the No. 2 windshield wiper link rod to the prominent point of the windshield wiper motor assembly base. The windshield wiper motor and link assembly needs 4 bolts tightened first to 77 kgf-cm (7.5 Nm) using the specified sequence followed by connector connection. Position the 4 claws of the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly and fasten it using 2 clips. Insert the claw into both front fender to cowl side seal locations before securing their right and left assemblies. Before attaching the wiper arm and blade assembly LH at the front position, you need to operate the wiper and position the windshield wiper motor precisely. Then clean the wiper arm serrations and wiper pivot serrations with a wire brush before fastening them with a nut tightened to 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf) while securely gripping the arm hinge. Rephrase the installation of the RH wiper arm and blade assembly after you test the LH component correctly works by moving the wipers during washer fluid spraying.
