How to install the rear shock absorber assembly LH on 2008 Toyota 4Runner?

The installation procedure for the rear shock absorber assembly LH begins with attaching the lower bracket to the assembly before tightening the cushion retainer, cushion No.1 and assembly with a nut at 25 Nm (255 kgf-cm, 18 ft-lbf). The bracket positioning protrusion must be inserted into the frame hole before securing the front-mounted hose. The shock absorber assembly rear LH requires installation with a bolt followed by the bracket attachment using a second bolt which should be tightened to 29 Nm (296 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf). When holding the bracket with a wrench install the joint by tightening it to achieve 1 mm (0.04 in.) gap spacing according to a reference torque value of 25 Nm (255 kgf-cm, 18 ft-lbf). Begin installation of the rear stabilizer link assembly followed by the rear wheel and tighten both components to 112 Nm (1,137 kgf-cm, 83 ft-lbf). Stabilize the suspension by performing multiple bounce-ups of the vehicle after it has been safely jacked down. Fully tighten the bolt of the shock absorber assembly rear LH until it reaches 98 Nm (1,000 kgf-cm, 72 ft-lbf) and check for any fluid leaks.
