Service of the rear shock absorber with REAS begins by first removing the rear wheel together with the rear stabilizer link assembly. Proceed by removing the bolt that disconnects the bracket from the shock absorber assembly rear LH before using a wrench to remove the joint while holding the bracket. The rear axle housing must stay supported while you remove the bolt that attaches the shock absorber assembly rear LH to the rear axle housing when shock absorbers lie at their normal suspension rebound point. To remove the parts, extend the shock absorber rod fully and support the assembly body section during transport. First, discard the nut and cushion retainer and cushion No.1 and shock absorber assembly rear LH. Proceed by removing the lower bracket that belongs to the shock absorber assembly rear LH. The installation begins with attachment of the lower bracket to shock absorber assembly rear LH then adds cushion retainer followed by cushion No.1 before securing shock absorber assembly rear LH with the nut at 25 Nm (255 kgf/cm, 18 ft. lbs. torque). Place the bracket's positioning protrusion into the frame's hole before installing the hose from the frontal direction. Insert the shock absorber assembly rear LH with its bolt followed by tightening the bracket with an additional bolt at 29 Nm (296 kgf/cm, 21 ft. lbs.). Install the joint after tightening its bracket with a wrench until the spacing reaches 1 mm (0.04 in.) then torque it to 25 Nm (255 kgf/cm, 18 ft. lbs.). After installation of the rear stabilizer link assembly along with the rear wheel, torque the wheel to 112 Nm (1,137 kgf/cm, 83 ft. lbs.). The shock absorber assembly rear LH needs to be fully tightened to 98 Nm (1,000 kgf/cm, 72 ft. lbs.) while laboring the suspension with lower vehicle position and multiple bounces to check for fluid leakage. To dispose of the shock absorber assembly rear LH the bolt should be loosened while draining out the absorber oil from the structure.
