2007 Toyota 4Runner Ride Height Sensor Parts Q&A
Q: How to service and repair the ride height sensor on 2007 Toyota 4Runner?
A: Maintenance on the ride height sensor requires removing the rear disc wheel as the first step. Place matchmarks on the link and bracket while you disconnect the connector from the height control sensor. After disconnecting the sensor link by removing its nut the height control sensor requires removal of its two securing bolts. Install the height control sensor by threading it with the two bolts while tightening them to 13 N.m (133 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf). Position the matchmarks on both the link and bracket then reattach the sensor link through the nut before connecting the height control sensor with a torque of 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf). Reinstall the rear disc wheel by torquing it to 112 N.m (1,140 kgf.cm, 83 ft.lbf) while measuring and adjusting vehicle height if needed.
