To remove the flywheel sub-assembly from the manual transaxle you need Special Service Tool for crankshaft retention to follow by bolt removal of the flywheel. A cutter knife should be used to destroy the oil seal lip before extracting it with a screwdriver. Manual inspection of the crankshaft should follow removal while professionals check for damage. When needed, 400-grit sandpaper should be used to smooth the surface with a screwdriver tip properly taped.
