Q: How to install the front speed sensor on the LH side on 2008 Scion tC?
A: Installation of the LH front speed sensor begins with securing the speed sensor using a bolt while achieving a torque of 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf) and mineralizing the installation hole and sensor tip from foreign contaminants. Install the speed sensor to the body by using two bolts where torque must be sets to 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf) for the first bolt and 29 Nm (296 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf) for the second. After connecting the sensor connector you should install the clamp. You should now put on the front fender liner LH followed by the front wheel attachment until it reaches 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf) torque. Follow wire connection procedures by applying it to the negative battery terminal while being aware that specific systems need initiation following reconnection. Check the ABS speed sensor signal to determine its operational state as the last step.
