How to remove and replace the Front Seat Belt Assembly for a sedan on 2007 Toyota Yaris?

A worker must start the Front Seat Outer Belt Assembly sedan replacement by disconnecting the negative terminal cable then waiting ninety seconds before attempting this work to avoid Air Bag activation. The first step is to remove the scuff plates from front and rear doors and then detach the door opening Weather Strips to gain access to the upper and lower center pillar garnishes. Begin by disassembling the seat belt anchor cover cap through portion A claw disengagement and the lap belt outer anchor cover by unclipping its hooks from the center pillar lower garnish. After disconnecting the pretensioner connector with a screwdriver to unlock the button users need to remove the front seat outer belt assembly by removing its bolt and anchor plate and bolt and shoulder anchor. Two bolts and two hooks plus the retractor must come out before you can remove the center pillar upper garnish along with the shoulder belt anchorage plate cover. Insert the hook end of the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly into its designated body hole and fasten it using two bolts which must be tight to 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf). After installation of the shoulder belt anchorage plate cover and front seat outer belt assembly you need to ensure correct retractor inclination for belt locking. After securing bolts A and B at 4.9 N.m (50 kgf.cm, 43 in.lbf) and 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) respectively fit the pretensioner connector while locking the button. The shoulder anchor and anchor plate need installation with a torque of 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) while checking that the ELR locks when the seat belt is in use. The work sequence starts with installing the lap belt outer anchor cover followed by seat belt anchor cover cap and moves to center pillar lower garnish and then adds rear and front door opening trim Weather Strips before finishing with front and rear door scuff plates. Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery while tightening it to 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf) then check the SRS warning light.
