2007 Toyota Yaris Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the Hazard Warning Switch for the Sedan on 2007 Toyota Yaris?
A: The servicing process for the Sedan Hazard Warning Switch starts with disconnecting the negative battery terminal cable. The servicing process starts with disassembly of the instrument cluster finish panel and the instrument panel finish panel lower center as well as the RH and LH end panels. Removing the radio receiver assembly requires the first step when the vehicle has this feature followed by disengaging the 8 claws from the instrument panel center register. Start the Hazard Warning Signal switch removal by disconnecting its 3 claws. The first step for installation involves setting the hazard warning signal switch that has three claws in place before positioning the instrument panel center register with its 8 claws installed. If the instrument cluster finish panel center sub-assembly serves as the final step when there is no radio receiver, installation of the radio receiver assembly proceeds next. The cable must be connected to the negative battery terminal after installing the instrument cluster finish panel and both end panels (LH and RH) and the instrument panel finish panel lower center. Apply 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf) torque when securing the cable to the terminal.
