2007 Toyota Tundra Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to service the Oil Pressure Switch on 2007 Toyota Tundra?
A: Start the service procedure of the oil pressure switch by disconnecting the negative battery terminal cable while remembering that certain systems require initialization post-connecting. The service begins with removal of the V-bank cover and oil pressure switch after disconnecting its connector while using a 24 mm deep socket wrench to unfasten it. To install the oil pressure switch you must glue its 2 or 3 threads using Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1344 or Three Bond 1344 or an equivalent product before fitting the switch with the mentioned 24 mm deep socket wrench while maintaining a force of 15 N m (150 kgf cm, 11 ft. lbf). Engine start must be delayed for at least one hour after installation until connecting the oil pressure switch connector and reinstalling the V-bank cover and reconnecting the negative battery cable. Initialization steps may apply in certain cases.
