How to Remove and Replace a Seat Belt Assembly on 2007 Toyota Solara?

The procedure for removing the rear seat outer belt assembly starts by first taking away the rear seat cushion assembly before moving onto the rear seatback assembly LH and RH followed by the rear seatback hinge sub-assembly LH and RH. Start by removing the front door scuff plates along with the quarter trim panel assemblies front LH and RH, center pillar garnishes LH and RH and roof side garnish assemblies inner LH and RH and quarter trim panel upper LH and RH and the package tray trim panel assembly by unclipping 2 clips and 5 claws. To remove the rear seat outer belt assembly LH and RH you must first eliminate the 2 bolts as well as the outer belt from its position. When installing the product begin with the rear seat outer belt assembly RH while leaving the retractor intact. Execute this test by checking both the lock time and angle of the ELR when the retractable portion grabs the belt while the retractor should lock within 15 degrees or fewer angles yet remain free beyond 45 degrees. Affix the inner belt by using two bolts while applying 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) torque. Keep the anchor part clear of the protruding floor panel during this process. Check if the ELR creates an immediate belt lock while using the outer belt assembly. Verify the child restraint system fastening mechanism works by pulling the belt to its full length until auto-retraction begins then confirming restoration of automatic retraction after completing whole retraction sequence. Perform another installation of the rear seat outer belt assembly LH by using the same checks and installation steps.
