The procedure to disassemble the rear seat outer belt assembly starts with cushion removal followed by Lithium and Right Hand seatback removal and culminates in removing the corresponding seatback hinge sub-assemblies. Start by removing the front door scuff plates LH and RH together with the quarter trim panel assemblies front LH and RH and the center pillar garnishes LH and RH and the roof side garnish assembly inner LH and RH followed by the quarter trim panel upper LH and RH and the package tray trim panel assembly. This includes disengaging the 2 clips and 5 claws. The rear seat outer belt assembly LH and RH needs removal through bolting out two parts and disengaging the outer belt. The installation process must start with the rear seat outer belt assembly RH yet keep the retractor intact. Verifying the locking mechanism for ELR takes place at a tilt angle of 15 degrees or lower and when the retractor requires 45 degrees or more for locking purposes. Mount the inner belt using two bolts which require 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 in.lbf) torque but avoid letting the anchor section reach the floor panel protrusion. Perform a check of the ELR lock system with both belts installed to verify immediate lock operation. The child restraint system's fastening capabilities can be verified through belt extension until the system starts retraction followed by the belt's conditional ability to extend and retract a second time. Perform the same checks and procedures again to install the rear seat outer belt assembly LH at the front side.
