  A: Service of the knock sensor begins by draining both fuel system pressure and coolant. You should disconnect the negative battery cable while waiting at least 90 seconds to stop Air Bag and seat belt pretensioner activation. Begin the service procedure by removing the No. 1 engine cover together with the air cleaner cap and throttle body and the fuel delivery pipe followed by fuel tube disconnection.
