2007 Toyota Land Cruiser A/C Switch Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to remove and replace the A/C Switch Assembly on 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser?
A: A necessary step to remove the Air Conditioning Control Assembly includes disconnecting the negative battery terminal with at least 90 seconds of waiting time to avoid Air Bag and seat belt pretensioner activation and requiring initialization steps during installation along with system initialization needs after reconnecting the cable. The first step starts with unscrewing the instrument panel register through removal of 12 clips and disconnecting the wires. To proceed with the integration control panel assembly removal begin by removing 4 bolts and following the process to disengage 7 clips before completely disconnecting its connectors. The procedure to remove the A/C amplifier assembly from vehicles with a Navigation System requires disconnecting the connector clamp followed by unscrewing the 3 screws, 4 bolts and radio receiver bracket LH and then detaching it with the 2 screws. The multi-display requires removal by taking out two screws and two bolts and an EMV. Once done disconnecting the connector clamps users should remove the screw along with the two bolts to pull out the radio receiver bracket RH before taking the integration control panel from the radio receiver. To handle the radio receiver bracket, proceed by disconnecting the connector clamp while removing six bolts from both the LH and RH sides before finally extracting the heater control panel. The installation process follows the exact opposite steps of removal while vehicles with Navigation Systems need twice ON and OFF ignition switch activation during battery terminal connection and disconnection or when installing or replacing the multi-display.
