2007 Toyota Land Cruiser Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to properly remove the A/C condenser on 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser?
A: After disconnecting the negative battery cable you need to wait at least 90 seconds before moving on to prevent Air Bag systems from activating. Additionally you may require an initialization process when reinstalling the condenser. The first process removes refrigerant from the refrigeration system followed by removing the A/T oil cooler assembly and engine under cover. The discharge tube needs unbolting followed by nut loosening. Torque both bolt to 10 N.m and nut to 22 N.m; seal the openings with vinyl tape to block moisture and external matter from getting inside. You should conduct an oil-based lubrication step for 2 new O-rings before installing them on the discharge tube. Install the new O-ring after applying compressor oil to its surface when sealing the liquid tube opening using the same procedure. The condenser removal process consists of disconnecting the 4 bolts and 2 upper brackets, then lifting the condenser, disassembling the 4 lower brackets as well as 2 center brackets, and finishing with removal of the condenser. The condenser replacement requires an addition of 40 cc (1.4 fl.oz.) ND-OIL 8 or equivalent compressor oil during installation.
