2006 Toyota Land Cruiser Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the A/C Switch assembly on 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser?
A: Disconnection of the negative battery cable requires waiting at least 90 seconds before service or repair of the air conditioning control assembly. Additionally the installation needs initialization steps along with specific system initialization post-cable reconnection. Detach the instrument panel register through the process of disconnecting 12 clips and unhooking its connectors. Start the integration control panel assembly removal by removing its 4 bolts then disconnecting 7 clips and the connectors. The installation requires disconnection of the connector clamp then removal of three screws and four bolts and radio receiver bracket LH before removing two screws with A/C amplifier. The removal of the multi-display requires the removal of two screws and two bolts and an EMV component from the device. The radio receiver bracket RH needs removal after disconnecting the connector clamps and taking out the screw and 2 bolts to access the integration control panel from the radio receiver. The intervention requires disconnecting the connector clamp before removing six bolts from the radio receiver bracket LH and repeating the clamp disconnect and bracket LH bolt removal for the same steps on the RH side followed by heater control panel extraction. Sessions of installation follow the order opposite to removal and for navigation systems the ignition must be cycled ON then OFF twice after battery terminal disconnect or reconnect and during multi-display replacement.
