2007 Toyota Avalon Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to service and repair the front lower Control Arm on 2007 Toyota Avalon?
A: You need to start repairs on the front lower suspension arm by taking out the engine assembly with transaxle. Start by removing the 3 nuts together with the transverse engine mounting insulator. Begin with removing the bolts from the front side of front suspension arm sub-assembly lower No. 1 LH before taking off the bolt and nut from the rear side followed by separating the front suspension arm sub-assembly lower No. 1 LH with front lower arm bush stopper. Install the front lower arm bush stopper onto the front suspension arm sub-assembly lower No. 1 LH and fix it with two front side bolts that require a torque of 200 N m (2,040 kgf cm, 148 ft. lbf) for bolt (A). Subsequently bolt (B) on the rear side needs a torque of 206 N m (2,100 kgf cm, 152 ft. lbf) for installation completion. Reinstallation of the transverse engine mounting insulator should begin by tightening the 3 nuts followed by mounting the engine assembly with transaxle.
