2006 Toyota Sienna Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to Service and Repair the Control Arm in the Front Lower Suspension on 2006 Toyota Sienna?
A: The process of servicing the front lower suspension arm starts by detaching the engine assembly with transaxle and proceeding to remove the transverse engine mounting insulator by unscrewing its 3 nuts. The service requires detachment of the front suspension arm sub-assembly lower No.1 LH after unfastening its 2 bolts on the front side together with the bolt and nut on the back side. Detach this assembly along with the front lower arm bush stopper. Begin by attaching the front lower arm bush stopper to the front suspension arm sub-assembly lower No.1 LH before tightening the bolt along with the nut on the rear side up to 206 Nm (2,100 kg-cm, 152 ft. lbs.) and installing the front side bolts to 200 Nm (2,040 kg-cm, 148 ft. lbs.). The installation ends by reattaching the engine assembly with transaxle after installing the transverse engine mounting insulator using 3 nuts torqued at 87 Nm (887 kg-cm, 64 ft. lbs.).
