2005 Toyota Sienna Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the FRONT CONTROL ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1 LH on 2005 Toyota Sienna?
A: The procedure to replace the FRONT SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1 LH begins with the removal of the ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSAXLE and continue with the disassembly of the TRANSVERSE ENGINE ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR after unfastening the 3 nuts. The FRONT SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1 LH requires detachment by unbolting the rear-side bolt and nut followed by removing the front-side two bolts and extracting the assembly and associated front lower arm bush stopper. The installation process begins with fixing the front lower arm bush stopper onto the front suspension arm sub-assembly lower No.1 LH and then fastening the rear side with the bolt and nut which should be torqued to 206 Nm (2,100 kgf-cm, 152 ft. lbs.). Next, install the 2 bolts on the front side and tighten them to 200 Nm (2,040 kgf-cm, 148 ft. lbs.). Reinstall the TRANSVERSE ENGINE ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR using 3 nuts which need torque settings of 87 Nm (887 kgf-cm, 64 ft. lbs.). Finish the procedure by replacing the ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSAXLE.
