  • Q: How to service and repair the Brake Master Cylinder on 2006 Toyota Sequoia?
A: You must start Brake Master Cylinder servicing by unfastening the Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Sub-Assembly set screw then extracting the reservoir while applying torque pressure up to 1.5 Nm (15 kgf-cm, 13 ft. lbs.). Then you must remove the cap and strainer from the reservoir before taking off the Master Cylinder Reservoir Grommet and the Brake Master Cylinder Gasket. The Master Cylinder Pressure Sensors need to be removed using a torque of 25 Nm (250 kgf-cm, 18 ft. lbs.). The reassembly process needs you to perform steps in the opposite order of disassembly steps while applying lithium soap base glycol grease to rubber parts that have arrows for reference.
